This is the best live preformance of super gifted musicians I’ve heard in my life ! John has very catchy melodic compositions here and he never misses a beat ! .. 7/4 , 15/4 , 15/8 , 15/16 … beautiful ! GOD bless !
Terrible record. The sound is awful, like they lived in a sound of distortion bubble. The playing is just meaningless – where are they going? I just hate it. why couldn’t they continue such a fantastic disc as that one with Lilac’s Dance and others?
I was at the concert and Jerry Goodman stole the show. Great concert but Jerry goodman showed his talent and really rocked with the Cry baby wah wah pedal!!
This live version of dream is the best ever and it has several highlights: Jerry’s solo, which ends with a powerful unisono riff, and John’s unique improvisation with a surprising drum-guitar-dialogue. Step by step he increases tension, speed and concentration, some softer picked passages have no distortion because of his « marshall amp » with tubes. Then he increases volume going to the highest pitch in order to burn up totally !
I love this album. It is and always will be a favorite. I bought it after hearing Birds of Fire and was blown away by their ferocious live sound. One of the greatest groups ever assembled and Between Nothingness and Eternity proves it. This CD never leaves my car.
