Cher John,
LE guitariste absolu, le génie qui nous fait tous voyager (since the first time I’ve attacked by Birds of fire) et qui reste ouvert à toutes les musiques et à tous les peuples. Et un homme simple …! Please stay with us one more century. Happy new century.

I came home one night when ‘In Concert’ was on. There, with his eyes closed, playing the double-neck, was Mahavishnu John Mclaughlin. Already a fan of prog. and its classical leanings and high caliber musicianship, I was taken to a place I didn’t know existed. My life in music was changed forever. To this day The Orchestra’s material, with it’s soul touching spirituality, writing that truly takes you into uncharted spaces, and monster technical/improv. talent is what I base my opinion of anything I hear on. Nothing covers all the bases yet. “The Greatest Band That Ever Was’. This well deserved Grammy is way overdue.
