  When will John return to the United States for a tour? I am his biggest fan and met him in Cincinnati in 1977 during the Shakti Tour (at Bogart’s Night Club). He was very gracious and his autograph and photo still grace my family room wall. I was unable to attend the concert last year due to health problems. PLEASE COME BACK!!!

  Well , John hasn’t been in Australia since 1991 with the trio, so if you in the Northern hemisphere think you are starved for gigs , think again !
  I would love to see Shakti play botanic park in Adelaide, which is probably one of the nicest outdoor venues in the world , Zakir Hussein has played there so why not shakti next time they reunite . Whatever, keep on making this heavenly music John , the planet needs you !

  Pretty poor looking tour considering it’s the worlds greatest living guitarist. I live in a busy part of europe and the nearest gig is about 300 kilometers away!!! Who books his gigs? they should be ashamed or maybe its just that John’s taking it easy and doesn’t want to play so much. I don’t know. hopefully I catch him somewhere. all the best philip

  Saw John play in Wellington (NZ) Festival of the Arts in 96/97(?) - with Dennis Chambers and Joey de Francesco - they played like muthaf*ckas for 2 hours and had the Town Hall Crowd in raptures. When are you heading back to Australasia?!?
