I didn’t know it was possible to respect John more than I already do but Now Here This gives me such hope for the future, there’s no sign that he’s slowing down and the music is as searching as any of his earlier work. The band are outstanding, there’s so much happening rhythmically I’m inspired yet again..
John –
We’re ALL on borrowed time. Just live.

Well, what can I say…
John, you have shaped my life and I am eternally grateful for that. You are one of the greatest humans who have lived.
But honestly… I don’t like your direction now. I find the new album totally soulless. Unbelievable playing of course. But way too angular. I understand that you must ‘Follow Your Heart’. It just doesn’t move me.
I’m so sorry to say that. Your music has always touched me. Maybe it’s my problem. But I just can’t connect to these melodies. I guess your musical spirit has outgrown my ears, and I am so happy that you are still growing as a musician.
But to me, it’s music for musicians. I want to hear music for non musicians.
Peace always.
